Plate-frame filter press is a mature dewatering equipment, which is widely used in sludge dewatering projects in Europe and America. The filter press arranges the filter plates and the filter frames in parallel and alternately, and the filter cloth is clamped between the filter plate and the filter frame in each group. The filter plate and the filter frame are pressed tightly with the press end, so that a filter chamber is formed between the filter plate and the filter frame. Sludge flows from the feeding inlet, and water is discharged from the filtrate outlet through the filter plate, mud cake accumulates on the filter cloth in the frame, and when the filter plate and the filter frame are released, the mud cake is very easy to drop off.
The drainage of plate-frame filter press can be divided into two types: open flow and hidden flow. Open flow means the filtrate is discharged directly from the machine through the outlet hole on both sides of the plate and frame. The advantage of the open flow is that the situation of each filter plate can be observed and the problems can be directly found through the transparency of the discharge filtrate. If the filtrate through the plate and the back of the roof of the form of undercurrent hole discharge is called hidden flow.
The plate and frame filter press adopts the hydraulic equipment to press tightly, the manual mechanical lock holds the pressure. Convenient operation and maintenance, safe and reliable operation, working principle of plate and frame filter press: used for solid and liquid separation. Filter press filter mud cake has higher solid content and better separation effect.
The basic principle of solid-liquid separation is that the mixture flows through the filter medium (filter cloth) and the solid stays on the filter cloth and gradually accumulates on the filter cloth to form filter mud cake. The filtrate part penetrates the filter cloth and becomes clean water.
